先週の台湾MOPCON2015お疲れ様でした。
盛り上がりました。初参加でしたが沢山の人に来訪頂き大変楽しかったです。
僕のセミナーもかなり沢山の台湾の方々に聞いて頂けて、大変嬉しいです。
本家Facebookにもご紹介頂けました。

プレゼン資料で書けない細かい内容をブログにも記録します。

○台湾MOPCON2015とは
台湾の南の大都市の高雄で行われている
Mobile Open Platform Conferenceの略で今年で4年目になります。
参加者登録人数1,500人（土日開催）と４回目で急速に拡大しているイベントです。
主にモバイル関係のアプリ開発者向けのセッションが多いですが何でもありです。
場所は高雄のMRTを高雄駅から3区間、徒歩数分の20分弱の高雄国際会議。
台湾の南地区では最大のイベントで台湾OSSの3大イベントと認識されています。
一応、オープンソースのイベントではないです。

　MOPCON 2015 Program

ただ、Open PlatformのイベントでOpensourceのイベントとは微妙に違います。
その為、LinuxやUnix関係者の発表は少なく限られています。
大本は、モバイル開発者の為のセミナーから出発しており、
台湾のモバイル開発者を支援するプロジェクトです。
ただ香港OSCや台湾COSCUP2015の発表者も数多く参加しており、
アンカンファレンスでも発表されていました。
今回の発表資料です。

MOPCONのIntro動画もご一読下さい。





OSC東京の1.5倍くらいの規模でしょうか？今年は特に多いです。
学生さん位の若い人が非常に多いです。
発表者はそれなりの年齢の方も多いですが、その道の第一人者の方々ばかりです。
個人的な感想は一般の方、家族客が多数来訪する日本のOSCタイプと言うより、
エンジニア主体のマニアックなKOFが4倍の参加者の規模になったら
MOPCONになるだろうという見方です。
セミナーありWorkshopあり、アンカンファレンスあり、ブースあり。
ただ参加者の数が半端ではないです。
800人くらい入れる大きなホールレベルの部屋が3つあり、
1セッション1部屋500〜800人クラスの聴講です。それが2〜3部屋並列開催。
参加者有料なので、参加率は高いです。
この参加ぶりは全く想像出来てませんでした。恐ろしいです。

一流の研究者さん中心のコアな人たちばかり集まっています。
モバイルWeb関連、アプリ開発、JavaやCSSなど多彩なメンバーが揃います。
発表者と参加者のレベルの高さは日本を凌駕します。
日本では集まりにくいイベントですが。向上心の高い台湾ならでは。

ブース出展は企業メイン＋スポンサーコミュニティ数件だけです。
MOPCONの場合はスポンサーのみなので数が少ないです。
大きな部屋の壁沿いにブースが展示されています。
セミナーよりブース出展を優先してFace To Faceにこだわる日本人とは違います。
香港でも台湾でもそうでしたが、セミナー実力ありきのカンファレンスです。
グッズ作ったり、展示したり、広告貼ったり同人誌を売ったりセミナーと並列開催したりと
ありとあらゆる手段を駆使する日本のやり方とちょっと違います。
昔からの広告文化の違いだと思っています。
ブース出展は間違いなく日本の方が気合入りすぎてますw

○台湾MOPCONの参加前
ファーストコンタクトは8月の台湾COSCUPです。
当時は香港から出展していたFirefoxブースでステッカーをクレと言ったら、
「証拠写真としてFirefoxのボードを持って写真を取らせろ」と言われて写真を取りました。
その時、香港OSCの主催関係者がいたらしく、
6月にkapperが香港OSCで発表、出展しました背景がありまして
関係者の方がKapperを覚えていたらしく、隣のブースのMOPCONの人と含め
会話になりました。
名刺代わりにいつものプレゼン資料を紙面で手渡しすると、
「今度10月にMOPCONというモバイル関係のカンファレンスやるから是非発表しろ。
　日本人は去年、Atsushi Enomoto氏が発表しているから大丈夫。」と。
⇒「MOPCONは調べたので知っています。チェックしています。
　　でもKapperはモバイルアプリの開発やっていません。ハッキングだけです」
　⇒「何でもWelcomeme、日本人OK」
　　⇒「じゃあ発表します。スケジュール見て他のセミナーと被らなければ」
みたいな会話をしてTシャツを貰いました。
当然、OSCや東海道らぐのイベントに着て行きまして日本でもガッツリ宣伝しました。
来年も宣伝用に是非着て使います。
台湾、香港の場合は基本亜熱帯なので冬でも暖かいです。
Tシャツは目立つので非常に良い宣伝道具なのです。
日本の場合はTシャツを外側に着るのは夏のごく一部だけです。
なので宣伝道具としては日本では弱かったりします。
トレーナーやYシャツの方が冬でも着れるので、宣伝効果が高かったりします。
日本でこの手の広報グッズが流行らないのは理由がありました。

後でネットで日程を調べるとOSC東京2015とKOF2015の間の週。
正直やめようかと何回も思いましたが、土日月と会社の社休日だったので
出展しました。結果論ですが出して良かったと思います。


イベント参加の申請と登録はKKTIXを使われています。
良くあるイベントチケット購入型のWebサービスです。
個人情報の登録とお金の支払いの問題がシステム運用できますので、主催者側としては便利なのかも。
参加する際に会場の入り口でQRコードで参加の登録した後、
カタログや名札他をもらえる方式です。
今回は土日二日間の参加なので2回ともQRコードで登録しました。
参加者情報をチェックしています。
紙面でアレコレやるより細かい情報管理が出来るのかもしれません。
個人情報の取り扱いが大変気になりますが・・・
台湾MOPCONも日本と比べて相当進んでいます。
日本のイベントがかなり時代遅れに見えてきてしまいました。凄いです。

で、KKTIXでCall For PresentationsでSpeaker申請します。
台湾COSCUPの時は落選しましたのでドキドキしました。
日本では色々と活動していますが台湾では無名です。
結果、下記のメールが届きSpeaker登録されました。
ただし、フライト日程は先方に確実に伝えた方が良いです。
会場に入るまでの時間とスケジュールを事前に登録してもらうためです。
発表者には最大4000台湾ドルを交通費として支給されます。主に海外向けSpeakerかと。
後は細かいやり取りになります。

○高雄〜MOPCON会場まで移動
高雄へは高雄国際空港がありまして、直行便があります。
関西か成田、福岡、新千歳から出ていまして行けます。
LCCは関西か成田でしょうか？
LCCを使えば20,000円前後＋荷物代で移動出来るので格安です。
新幹線で東京〜大阪より安いのでは無いでしょうか？
ただし3ヶ月前から予約しないと売り切れます。
計画が全てです。

一応、桃園国際空港から新幹線でも行けます。
桃園国際空港〜新竹（バス20分）〜高雄（新幹線90分）
で荷物の受け取りとSIM調達など色々を除くと大体2時間＋待ち時間で
3時間以内には到着出来ますが意外と距離あります。
勿論、高速バスの移動も可能です。
早朝、深夜の移動すれば移動時間も開店前で調整出来るかと。

高雄国際空港から高雄中心部まではMRTで15分で移動出来ます。
通関ゲートにはスマホが3台置いてありまして、Skype電話が使えます。
またWifiもファミリーマート付近で無料で使えます。
通関ゲートが結構混みますので時間がかかりますが
荷物を受け取れば直ぐに外に出て移動出来ます。
ここで準備します。高雄国際空港には銀行が1〜2店しかないので、
現金を前もって両替して確保しておきます。基本クレジットカードの方が良いですが。
で、ネット用にSIMを購入します。
SIM販売は3メーカーありまして購入します。中華電信が人気ですが、
プランが合えば他の通信キャリアでも良いかと思います。
この際、SIMをスマホから取り出すピンをここで借りる事を忘れない様に。
代替クリップをコンビニなどで入手するのは至難の技です。
また飲食物は空港のファミリーマートで購入出来ますが、
公共交通機関は飲食禁止なので注意しましょう。空港か外で食べるしかないです。

現金とSIMを入手しましたら、MRTかバスかタクシーで移動します。
MRTが便利です。
MRTに乗る前に必ずプリペイドカードのEasyCardを購入しチャージしましょう。
100台湾ドルです。台北でも高雄でも使えます。
このプリペイドカードはコンビニなど沢山の場所で使えるので便利です。
MRTは20台湾ドル前後なので、プリペイドカードを購入しないと直ぐに小銭の山になります。
小銭を使い切るのは困難なのでプリペイドカードで可能な限り決済します。
まあ楽ですし。


○台湾MOPCONタイムスケジュールとセミナー
9:00〜開始のスケジュールで45分＋休憩時間の流れです。
食事を出しているのでお昼休みありです。
今回は発表なので他の人のセミナーを聞く余裕は殆どありませんでした。

各テーマでカテゴライズされていまして、
ある程度均等に部屋、時間を割り振られています。
モバイル開発者ばかりなのですがジャンル的に何でもありです。

発表者の場合は会場入り口でKKTIXでログインしようとしますと
こっちこいと呼ばれまして、名刺とTシャツとパンフレットをもらいました。
ここで通訳さんのField Pan氏と初面会して、スタッフさんとやりとりしました。
Speaker専用ルームに移動して、発表の前打ち合わせをしました。
僕の場合、事前に資料を作成してMOPCONスタッフの方にメール配送していますので、
セミナー資料内容はご存知でした。
それぞれ専門の内容になると、通訳さんに大きな負担になるので
可能な限り事前に連絡して内容を伝えておいた方が良いです。
進め方と内容の説明文章を事前にすり合わせします。
大体セミナー時間前3〜40分位かかるかと思いますので時間注意です。
この文章の意味はこれとか、ここは読むだけとか、ここは飛ばして説明しないなど。
Linuxに関わる内容は結構コアなところもあるので難しいです。

セミナー発表は基本Speaker任せです。
アンケート、配布物、実演などは時間の許す限り自由です。
一番前に座っているスタッフさんが残り何分というのを紙で教えてもらえます。
それに合わせて時間を調整しました。
質疑応答は日本と異なりかなりの数が来ます。
聞くだけの人が多い日本とは異なります。嬉しいですよね。
凄い反応があるんです。国民性の違いかと。
次のセッションの時間来てるよ。と思うくらい。
今回は25部ほど印刷して持ってきました。
プリンタ調子悪いので。
ブース出展が無いので会場で名刺代わりに配布します。直ぐなくなりました。
会場の外に移動して質問タイムですW
発表終了すると外で人だかりが出来てエンドレス質問はMOPCONの伝統かも。


○台湾MOPCONアンカンファレンス
当日ホワイトボードに事故申請してフリースペースで15分発表出来ます。
予約あるんでしょうか？
BobChao氏や香港OSCの方々の発表が入っていました。
是非聞いてみたかったですが、自分が発表者だったので時間が会いませんでした。

○台湾MOPCONブース出展
ブース出展はスポンサーだけです。
コミュニティはClonzilla除き殆ど出ていません。
日本の方々はブース出展して謎マシンを展示したいだろうと思いますが、
今の所スポンサーになるしかなさそうです。

○台湾MOPCON Devel Night
OSCのイベントで良くある懇親会の形式とは異なり、19:00〜21:00の夜は
Speakerと主催者、一般参加者（400台湾ドル）でDinnerがあります。
高級ホテルの最上階で結婚式の会場みたいな場所で中華料理。
絶妙に美味しかったです。

未成年の方が多数いるのでしょうか？自腹参加でお酒が入る日本とは違います。
残念ながら、オレンジジュースでアルコールはなしです。
多分殆どの人がスクーターで来ている為でしょうか？
同じ日本人のよしださんと初めてここで合流しました。
日本人の感覚だとお酒を飲みますよね？
この料理と一緒にビールが飲みたいと言っていました。大変よく分かりますW

○ Taiwan MOPCON2015
